Position monitoring of brake disks
Requirement
In a suspension strut assembly line brake disks are placed on workpiece carriers for further assembly. The placement position is defined by a pitch circle. Before assembly, it has to be ensured that the brake disks are in the correct position.
Implementation
The ifm vision sensor monitors the exact position of the brake disk. The next assembly step is only enabled if the position is correct.
Customer benefits
Wrongly positioned brake disks are not processed. This saves consequential costs which used to be incurred due to post-processing of wrongly positioned brake disks in the past.
