Gate monitoring for hot-air curtain control
Requirement
When goods are delivered to the workshop, cold air flows into the adjacent office area. A solution had to be found to save energy and to avoid the negative effects for the employees.
Implementation
A photoelectric sensor permanently monitors the gate. When the gate is opened, the sensor generates a switching signal, which activates a hot-air unit above the gate. This prevents inconvenient draught and maintains the room temperature stable.
Customer benefits
Despite the frequent use of the access door, the employees are no longer disturbed and can focus on their work. Furthermore, the energy input to maintain the room temperature in the office area stable was reduced.
