Compressed air consumption in a laundry

Requirement
In the laundry of a hospital the current compressed air consumption is to be measured continuously. It is to be possible to read the current and the total compressed air consumption locally. Furthermore, the complete data of the building services control system is to be available for evaluation at a central location.

Implementation
The compressed air meter SD2000 including the DN65 pipe section is integrated into the central line of the compressed air system directly after a dryer. The electrical connection with a standardised M12 connector provides an analogue signal (4-20 mA), a pulse output signal and a switching signal for the building services control system. The current consumption can be read locally from the 7-segment display. The pulse output is connected to the building services control system.

Customer benefits
Exact measured values enable a consumption-oriented compressed air supply. With the information about the current consumption the system could be optimised. The additional leakage monitoring detects very small leaks which can then be removed quickly. This reduces expensive compressed air losses.
