The mobile controller concept ecomat 100 has been specially developed for use in vehicles and mobile machines. Due to their special mechanical and electrical design all system components meet the extreme requirements in this area of applications.
In nearly all mobile machines a powerful process-dialogue interface is now required for operation as well as for the display of system messages. The PDM 360 is such a user interface. With its powerful 32-bit controller and the flexible programming according to IEC 61131-3 it can be used in nearly all applications.
Due to its robust housing with the protection rating IP 67 the unit can be used outside as well as in the cabin. It is designed to be either panel or surface mounted. The communication to the other system components in the machine is done via the CAN bus (CANopen protocol). The additional interfaces like Ethernet, USB, RS 232 or the second CAN interface together with the Linux operating system form a universal platform for further networking and communication with other CAN units, networks or the PC. Furthermore the unit can be equipped with a PCMCIA slot.
