AS-Interface AirBoxes for pneumatics

3/2-way valve

The AS-i AirBoxes with two 3/2-way valves (monostable) are particularly suited for the use of two single-acting actuators. The integrated pilot valves are triggered via AS-i; they activate the respective main valve (slide valve). Both integrated valves can be switched separately. The main valves of the AirBox in monostable design return to their initial position as soon as the trigger signal is no longer provided by AS-i or the compressed air supply stops. In this case the piston rod of the connected single-acting actuators retracts.
All tube connections are designed for 8 mm external diameter and can be inserted and removed without tools. The slide valves are free from overlapping and designed for a pressure peak resistance up to 12 bar.

4/2-way valve monostable

The AS-i Airboxes with 4/2-way valves are particularly suited for double-acting pneumatic actuators. Like all Airboxes, they contain inputs for position feedback and a pneumatic manual override for local triggering even without electrical wiring.

5/2-way valve bistable

The AS-i AirBoxes with 5/2-way valves (bistable) are particularly suited for the use of double-acting pneumatic actuators. As compared to the monostable AirBox, the bistable AirBox has two defined positions. Two integrated pilot valves are triggered separately via AS-i; they activate the main valve (slide valve) into the respective direction. In the bistable design of the AirBox the main valve only leaves its end position when the respective pilot valve is activated.
All tube connections are designed for 8 mm external diameter and can be inserted and removed without tools. The slide valves are free from overlapping and designed for a pressure peak resistance up to 12 bar.

5/3-way valve with blocked middle position

The AS-i AirBoxes with 5/3-way valves are particularly suited for the use of double-acting actuators. Two integrated pilot valves are triggered separately via AS-i; they activate the main valve (slide valve) into the required direction. The blocked middle position is used, for example, when the piston rod of the connected cylinder must not leave its end position for a certain time in case of compressed air or voltage failure.
All tube connections are designed for 8 mm external diameter and can be inserted and removed without tools. The slide valves are free from overlapping and designed for a pressure peak resistance up to 12 bar.

Module lower parts

The EMS module lower parts are a necessary accessory for the product families ClassicLine, universal modules, illuminated pushbutton modules and AirBoxes. They are available with integrated branch for the main AS-i line and the AS-i spur or for AS-i (yellow) and external actuator supply (black). The suitable lower part is selected according to the electronic module (2 or 4 poles).
